@Mizzarh: It's a combination of both. I paint using a mix of custom photoshop brushes, but there's also a noise filter/texture overlay on the entire image to add a unifying grainy look.

This looks so cosy and comfy with the ice-covered windows, the snowfall behind and Dean having a little cold and Cas reading "Good Omens". How much better can a winter picture get? I also love your choice of colours - warm and loving :) .
